I started African Fabric Shop USA because I believe the textiles of Africa deserve to be celebrated — not just worn, but understood.

Growing up surrounded by the vibrant colors and intricate patterns of West African fabrics, I saw firsthand how a single piece of Ankara could carry a family's history, mark a celebration, or signal belonging to a community. When I moved to the United States, I noticed something missing: a place where the diaspora and fabric lovers everywhere could access truly authentic African textiles — not mass-produced imitations, but the real thing, sourced directly from the artisans and markets that have been weaving and printing these traditions for generations.

That's why I built this shop.
